| WHO ARE YOU |
01.) What are your goals in life? Currently? I want a career in the army. I want to love my job and be excited by it and to never get bored of it. I want to do what I want to do and live without regrets - I want to ignore those people that say to me oh you're going to regret doing that and prove them wrong. I want to be surrounded by people that I respect and people who like me for who I am, not who they want me to be. I don't like short term goals that much, I really think about the future - when I'm a proper adult because idgaf if I'm now legal to vote I still feel like a child. I want to be independent and flawless and wonderful.
02.) What do you care about most? Honestly, this is probably obscenely egotistical but myself. Not because I think I'm better than anyone else, no, I love my friends more than life and oxygen but because in the end, I am the only person who does. My parents love me, my friends love me, but in the end nobody can be responsible for my life but ME and that means I have to care more about myself than anything else. Nobody else is going to get me into the Army. Nobody else is going to work their ass off for me so I'm the person who has to do that, you know?
I mean, I care about other things too. I care about my future and my friends and my family but in ways that...I guess, benefit me? I care about my friends and family because they're there for me, they support me and they pull me back and stop me from going nuts.
I just. I'm not egotistical, that's not what it is at all, but my priority is myself.
03.) What is one thing you would change about the world today? Basic answer? Prejudice. People who piss me off. Idiots. My priority would probably be misogyny because that's the thing that affects me most. Jfc I had to lift something heavy at work the other day and my boss said "why are they making the girl do it". Because fuck you that's why.
But I have a lot of feelings about a lot of things. Can my answer be society? Can I change society? Because that encompasses a lot of things that piss me off because they're problems in our society - racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, "nice guys", religion...I'm not a pessimist but jfc there's a lot wrong with our world.
04.) Is there anything in your life that you regret? No regrets. I don't want to live in the past regretting things. I have one of those brains that remembers every tiny little mistake I ever made ever and if I dwell on them, it affects me and my life. So I move on. I've fucked up, I've made mistakes, I'm human. Mistakes are a sign of a life lived, right? So why would I regret them?
05.) Describe your top positive characteristics.
I'm determined. Sometimes too much so. Sometimes it goes too far. But if I set myself to something, I push myself to achieve it. I'm not going to sit back and not do anything. If you want something done, do it yourself, you know?
I'm a curious George. I always want to KNOW things. I want to know how people live or their thoughts or their opinions. I don't like school or book learning but I'm that asshole that sits around going why? why? why? Also I'm David 8 because I touch shit a lot but that's not relevant. To me, curiosity is a good trait because it's why I'm generally open minded, why I'm educated about things. It allows me to learn and thrive as a person.
I'm loyal. Cross my friends and I will end you. One of my best friends and I have a...volatile friendship. We argue a lot. We disagree a lot. Things she does drive me up the fucking wall and things I do drive her nuts. But I love her and I will defend her to the end of the earth because she's been there through a lot. I value loyalty and I do expect it from my friends, which can be problematic because...everyone is not me.
06.) Describe your top negative characteristics.
I'm opinionated. I lose a lot of followers on twitter because I go off on rants a lot but I always make a point to be educated about what I'm ranting about. If I don't understand it, I ask. And I don't foist my opinions on people. I live for discussion and debate so while, yes, I will loudly disagree with you, I will still listen to your point.
I can be...how to put this? Anal retentive. I can put a positive spin on it and call it "perfectionism" but I know it drives people nuts. People tell me it drives them nuts because if I don't think they're doing something efficiently? That's where I step in with "NO DO IT THIS WAY" and then they get annoyed but I just cannot let it sit it drives me nutttttttts.
I hold myself to a stupidly high startand and I hold people to that same standard. It means I can be quite unforgiving of mistakes, especially if they hurt me/someone I love. I hold grudges like nobodies business because it's weird to me that some people don't hold themselves to the same standard. For example, I work with a guy who just...doesn't give a shit. I constantly have to follow him around fixing shit because he just don't care. When I evaluate that though, I can see he probably does care about his job but he just doesn't have the same perfect standards I do?
07.) Pick a favorite quote and explain what it means to you. I kind of want to do my favourite quote even though it's a little...strange. I've loved it for years and it's always stuck in my head and I just adore it. From my rotting body, flowers shall grow and I am in them and that is eternity. Part of the reason I love it is that's it's beautiful, but it's always...kind of been there for me when life's shit. It just reminds me that even from that shit, something good will happen. Eventually, something beautiful will happen. It just, it reminds me of life.
Also, I love In Arduis Fidelis which means Faithful in Adversity. It's the motto for one of the regiments I wish to join in the Army, and it just reminds me a lot of traits I value.

08.) Who is your favorite Harry Potter character?
This is always a difficult one for me because my favourite characters from an interest standpoint are the founders and the next gen kids. That tells you...nothing about me. I don't really have a favourite character, they've all done things that annoy the crap out of me. They all have traits I really dislike. They all have traits I identify with. So...I don't know. I don't do favourites easily, to be honest. I don't have a favourite colour or singer or anything like that, you know?
I like Luna, but I feel like that's because she was never really fleshed out. She was just shown as quirky and misunderstood. I don't identify with that but she interested me.
Falling back onto Founders, I love Godric Gryffindor. I adore him. I admire everything he stood for, I admire that he was one of the ones that stood up for muggle borns to be allowed to attend Hogwarts. I admire that he wasn't scared to tell his friends that they were wrong. Godric's a badass. I want to be Godric.
09.) Least favorite?
A little easier - outside of the obvious characters, the villains we're supposed to hate, I've always really dislike Harry because he reminds me way too much of me. That's, probably, the most stupid reason for disliking a character ever. He drives me nuts though. I find it so hard to find redeeming qualities in him. Sure, he's brave, but so were Hermione and Ron. They weren't the chosen one but they still stood by him which seems braver to me. They risked their lives for their best friend multiple times, but Harry got the glory and he spent all of his time whining.
10.) Who would you have been friends with at Hogwarts?
Probably Fred and George. We'd have annoyed the shit out of everyone together. But I'm also the sort of person who's acquaintances with a lot of people. I would have wanted to be friends with people outside of my house. Being friends with just one group of people is just silly, to me, because you're missing out on the benefits of other houses. Ravenclaws and Slytherins would push you to be better. Hufflepuffs would be ridiculously loyal to you. They all have traits I'd want in friends.
11.) What would you most enjoy about your time at Hogwarts?
I would have hated the classes. HATED. Them. I hate school and schoolwork and everything that comes with it. I'd have loved exploring though, finding out the secrets of the castle.
Also food.
12.) Describe each of the four houses as you see them:
13.) Which house do you feel the least affinity for?
Ravenclaw. I do see that I have some claw traits but it's just...not me at all. I think it'd drive me nuts.

12.) Describe each of the four houses as you see them:
Gryffindor: Loyal, brave, a little bit prone to not seeing the other side of the fence.
Hufflepuff: Faithful, good, accepting but occasionally likely to follow the crowd instead of standing out.
Ravenclaw: Clever but not just book clever, witty, a little bit pretentious.
Slytherin: Ambitious, wise, sometimes selfish.
13.) Which house do you feel the least affinity for?
Ravenclaw. I do see that I have some claw traits but it's just...not me at all. I think it'd drive me nuts.
Gryffindor
Definitely a Gryffindor.
I think it's awesome that you want a career in the Army. (Do you have any idea what you wanted to do?) But I wanted to mention that (especially if you're not committed to anything yet) explore options in the other branches of the military too. My husband is medically retired Army at 26. It can be really hard on your body, but a lot of good can come from it too.
Re: Gryffindor
And I apparently should not be allowed to vote when I'm half awake.
