| WHO ARE YOU |
01.) What are your goals in life?I would like to be a Professor of Modern European History, specifically the Weimar Republic and the time period between the two world wars. I want to write history books and inspire others to learn about the time period that I love so much. I’d also love to raise awareness for type 1 diabetics and what it actually entails to love with this disability as I’m diabetic myself. Most importantly though, I just want to be healthy and have the best quality of life that I can with my disability and any complications I have.
02.) What do you care about most?My health. Without my health, I can’t be there for the people I care about so much, like my brothers and friends and I can’t do the things that I want to do. I’m currently having to take a medical break from university because of health issues and I miss it so much but it had to be done. If I was healthy, I could go to university, play outside with my younger brothers, visit my friends more. I want to be able to help people and be there for them but in the end, I have to take care of myself first to be able to do that to the best of my abilities.
03.) What is one thing you would change about the world today?Wave a wand and fix things? There are so many things I could to do that would improve lives but when it comes down to basics, I’d make sure that people had enough to eat. There are millions of people dying every day all around the world just because they don’t have enough food or clean water and that isn’t right in this day and age. I don’t even mean poverty, I mean the basic human need for nutrition. People can be bullied, targeted because of colour, race, religion or sexuality and I cannot stand any of that but to think that so many just die out of hunger boggles the mind and that is definitely what I would fix.
04.) Is there anything in your life that you regret?
No. I am a firm believer that everything I did, good or bad led me to the person I am today. I don’t know what route things would have taken if I hadn’t dealt with the things that I have. I learn from everything, I guess.
05.) Describe your top positive characteristics.I’m clever. Now, I know this is always a difficult one to describe but I mean academically I can understand what I’m learning and then explain it to other people, whether that is at university, information on the news, whatever. I’m a very caring person and I’m always there for my friends. I’m a good listener and am happy to offer advice or just a shoulder to lean on or even just a distraction so people can escape for a while. I have no problem with crossing the country to make sure someone isn’t alone on their birthday if I can manage it. I’m a very determined person and always have been. I don’t give up very easily and keep working at something if I believe I am capable of achieving it. This is more with my health issues. It would be very easy to give up and allow them to get me down and have stopped me ever getting to university in the first place for example but my determination allows me to keep going. I’m level headed and I think this serves me well. I like debating things and talking about different opinions but I’m not one of those people that resorts to shouting and capslock in the hope that if I’m louder it means I am right. I only argue if I truly believe something and I think I can justify it and if someone is just going to continue to shout the same thing back at me over and over again I am more likely to walk away than sink down to the level of shouting back. Often, people think I’m ‘giving up’ but I more see it as being level headed and seeing that it won’t get me anywhere. I am a planner. Again, my disability means I always have to plan ahead and know when I’m going somewhere, where the bathrooms are, how I get from A to B, how much that costs. I don’t ‘wing’ things and I don’t do things spontaneously. I always have a plan A and a plan B and perhaps a plan C too!
06.) Describe your top negative characteristics.I am impatient. If I want something done then I want it done right now and get worked up when it isn’t. Continuing from that I can get easily frustrated at times and get worked up over things that I really don’t need to. I had to learn to just relax and calm down over things that don’t matter. I am quiet, very quiet. I have social anxiety but even above that I have always been this quiet little thing that never talked much and when I do I often have to be asked to speak up, even in circles of friends that I am comfortable with.
07.) Pick a favorite quote and explain what it means to you.
vivez bien, aimez beaucoup riez souvent (live well, love a lot, laugh often) To me, it means that no matter how bad things may seem, you can always live to the best of your abilities within your circumstance, you can still have people that love you and there is always something to find some happiness in. It gets me through the bad times, because it could always be worse.

08.) Who is your favorite Harry Potter character?
Minerva Mcgonagall. I picked her because, though I love a lot of characters, I don’t always love them because they are ‘amazing’ but I do truly love Minerva. She stands up for what she believes in, protects the children to the best of her ability, and is always there for them. Plus, she is a total bamf! Harry causes a riot in DADA, her answer is of course to offer advice and biscuits. She does make mistakes and doesn’t always take the children as seriously as she perhaps should but she truly believes she is doing things for the right reasons and has what I would personally say is a good moral compass. She is strict but fair in her classroom and doesn’t show outright favouritism. Plus, she took on the Ministry for Hagrid because she believed it was right and had the courage to do so in dark times and then in the seventh book, helped re-take the Castle and got Harry as much time as she could without question.
09.) Least favorite?Severus Snape. I dislike many characters but I think they have the reasoning of being insane but Snape doesn’t. I find that he is just a mean person. He bullies children from a position of power and that is just inexcusable in every single way. The impact he could have had and did have on children’s minds and inevitably the rest of their lives is severe. Teachers should be people that children can trust and not just the members of his own house. Yes, he turns out to be on ‘the good side’ but fundamentally he bullies and ridicules people on a regular basis, is a poor and unfair teacher and I can’t stand that.
10.) Who would you have been friends with at Hogwarts?Probably the quieter characters that you don’t feel too much about like Susan. She seems to be a strong character in that she does take a stand for what she believes in by joining the DA but she isn’t loud and boisterous in general.
11.) What would you most enjoy about your time at Hogwarts?
Learning. I can’t pick a specific place or class. There are some classes I guess I would like more than others like Charms of Transfiguration but I can’t really know. I would love the access to all the books in the library but I don’t like complete silence when I’m learning so the library itself would probably unnerve me. I’d hate the loud social buzz of the Common Rooms and Great Hall though. What I know I would love though, is just learning new things. I’d probably be the one person in the History of Magic class that didn’t fall asleep but was riveted instead. :D
12.) Describe each of the four houses as you see them:
13.) Which house do you feel the least affinity for?Gryffindor. I think far too much before I do things to be able to feel affinity for Gryffindor. I am not spontaneous in the slightest and actually find that can be pretty dangerous and unwise at times. I do have a sort of inner courage that comes with my determination not to give up when things get hard but that is a personal thing rather than something others can see.

I’d probably be the one person in the History of Magic class that didn’t fall asleep but was riveted instead. :D
12.) Describe each of the four houses as you see them:
Gryffindor:Gryffindors to me are brave and loyal to their own but wary of those not in their house. They often jump in without thinking if they believe something is ‘right’ and don’t always do a lot of forward thinking. They are most likely to speak out against something they see as unjust and are bold and daring by nature. To me, most are natural leaders and will take charge of any situation they can. They are hard-headed, spontaneous, fun loving and likely at the centre of things.
Hufflepuff:Hufflepuffs are loyal to their friends and to what they believe in. They are hard working and good at working with others to achieve their aims. They are far more cautious in their outlook and asses the risks of things before getting involved while being prepared to stand up for what they believe in. They find it far easier to get on with members of the other houses because they are not seen as a threat to anyone. To me they are reliable, responsible, and trustworthy and are often underestimated.
Ravenclaw:Ravenclaws strive for knowledge and progress, both academically and socially. They also have their beliefs but are far more reserved and cautious about whether or not to involve themselves in conflict. They are far quieter in a social sense and are a very logical group.
Slytherin: I also see Slytherins as very hardworking in general, because they are ambitious and want to be the best and so will need to work for it in a lot of cases. They strive for the best they can achieve and have a special type of loyalty where they look out for their own and yet they always put themselves first in order to move forward.

I just wanted to say that my sister has Type II Diabetes, so I know it can be hard to try and live as normal as a life as possible with it and I admire you for working towards your goals while not loosing sight of what's important (your health)!
I think you sound like a super nice, warm, and fluffy person. Because of that, I think you sound more like a Hufflepuff to me.

Definitely seeing the eagle showing through in this. I see a bit of 'Puff in there (especially your answer to #3), because I see a balance of traits with you, but it's definitely out-shined by the Ravenclaw in you.
Good luck with the rest of your sorting!
Also, instead of saying this in another comment, I'll save the spam possibility and let you know if you want to fix the formatting in this, you have permission to do so. But that's completely up to you. :)
