Alright, I'm back in the driver's seat and ready to go! I promise!

There are currently FOUR applications that need to be sorted, they can be found IN THIS POST for those of you who need it.

I want to extend my apologies to [personal profile] pretty_panther for the wait on your application (it's been up since APRIL). I didn't want you getting the short end of the stick on your voting.

And to those who are waiting to be sorted, or that are preparing to submit your applications, I welcome you! WE welcome you.

I've been a horrible Headmistress as of late because real life decided that I needed to put the internet in the back seat for a while.

DHM Kaz is currently out doing wildlife school-y related things, so we may or may not see her until August.

Let's see, we're NOT officially in any term, but any sorting as of right now will go toward Term I points. Anything you sort while you, yourself, are unsorted will be tallied to your future house.

Current applications will be up for at least a week.

[personal profile] pretty_panther if you would like me to stamp you before I stamp the other three (because you've been waiting a WHILE), I am giving you the option to let me know, and as soon as I get the message I will sort you. If I hear nothing from you in regards to this, I will stamp you with the other three.

A couple apps have been added to the unsorted pile (I have a sticky post at the top of enchanted_sorting with all the current ones, and the unsorted tag will take you to them.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU SORT THEM. It's not fair for them to vote on yours and you not vote on theirs.

Eventually it will change and only sorted members will be able to vote on apps, but until then, we need as many participants as possible.

Pardon the dust, especially on the rules and FAQs. I initially wrote them in September of 2011, and forgot about them until now. So there is a lot of editing happening at the moment. Mostly for clarification purposes. I'd post every time I make an update, but I'd be updating 6-7 times a day and I absolutely despise spamming friend lists if I don't have to.

Basically what I've added is clarification on how to vote on an application. For organizational purposes, we separate voting into threads. Each house (in future applications) will have a thread for their votes, Kaz and myself have our own thread, and currently the unsorted have a thread. Try to remember to stick to your threads when voting. I understand that some of you may be utilizing email to post, and I understand that, and this first set of apps, I'm going to be lenient on.

Keep in mind that when this community gets bigger, that myself, Kaz, and anyone else that might be appointed to help keep track of points is going to have a hard time when there are 30+ votes to a single application.

I will also, on future applications (I will post when this goes into effect), not tolerate chatting in the applications and will ask that you take it to PMs, IMs, email, or somesuch. It's not because I don't want you guys to chat, it's just to make it easier to calculate accurate points in the future.

And also I added to make sure that you post your vote as both in the subject line AND bolded in your comment. I'm not going to get upset if it's one or the other, as long as one is there. It is, again, solely for organizational purposes and to make things easier when it comes to points.

Hey guys, it's your DHM hurr. I'm happy to see this community finally up and running!

I'd just like to give all of you guys a reminder to vote under the proper comment: once you're sorted, you'll be voting under your house's comment, but until then, vote under the comment for unsorted people. For example, on pickleddeath's application, all votes should be in response to this. This is just to keep everything organized so we don't mix points and stuff up.

Also, bold your vote. This isn't actually a rule yet, I don't think, but it would make our lives easier when we tally.

LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I am adding my app (the sample app) to the voting pile just to get some more points in for the houses. You can vote on it here. :)

Since we only have 4 members including myself and the DHM, and only have 2 applications in queue (and I'd ideally like to drop them in groups of 10...) I'm pushing the term start date back a month in hopes of sparking more interest in the community.

If no more interest happens by Nov. 1st, then I'm not going to put anymore effort into this community at this time.

So signal boost us out to people, I'll do the same. Let's see if we can get this community off the ground.

You may fill out and submit your application now.

Once you've submitted your application, you may participate in sorting.

Until you are sorted, you will place your vote under the "Not Yet Sorted" thread. (So since I don't have a house I'd put Ari//NYS in my comment somewhere. When I get sorted, either I'd use a sigtag, or I'd put Ari//HOUSE.)

When you are properly sorted to a house, the points you receive for voting will go to said house.

Please make sure you have read the rules, and FAQs.
